This is the third book in the series. I got the first one free. I was contacted by the Author after I reviewed the book which was very unexpected and very much appreciated. I have read a couple hundred books in the last few years and I have only received a message from one other Author and he was an indie author too.In each book you can see that the author is growing along with his characters. He uses a male/female pairing as the heroines (think Mr. & Mrs Smith with Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolene). The action scenes keep getting better and the story line is more thought out and interesting.
I really like the progression and growth of the characters and openly vote for less morality and more butt kicking.
There are two things that bother me. The first is that it seems that every confrontation Ethan and Sav have is dragged out with multiple twists and turns which relates to the second issue I have in that they seem to make the same mistake's over and over again. Now the first time I can see but I would think when you have faced death you would never make the same mistake twice. especially with Sav getting into the sexual situations. I find it hard to believe that she wouldn't have five of those stun guns hidden and taped all over her body.
In fairness all three books take place with a month and a half if I am not mistaken so it is somewhat unrealistic to see hugh leaps of skills in the characters. I have been told by the author that there will be a time lapse in the next book so I hope that means training and shooting skills.
I highly recommend the series and also jumping over to his web site and sign up for the newsletter and possibly get a discount on the new books when they are released like I did today.

The action in Incendiary starts right away and continues until the end of the book, with the promise of more coming into the lives of Ethan and Savannah. They are magnets for danger, even though they haven't asked for it, nor have they been trained for dealing with it. They aren't over-the-top super-heroes, but likeable characters who think on their feet, take action to avoid getting killed, and protect others from harm, as well. They are some of my favorite characters, and I'm looking forward to reading more of their stories.
Book three in the Ethan Justice series is about as awesome as action/suspense novels can get! Simon Jenner really kicked up the action in this book! I was hooked from the first chapter and it was torture anytime I had to put this book down!
Incendiary pits private eye, Ethan and sexy girlfriend, Savannah, against a major antagonist! The action scenes. as well as plot twists really keep this book flowing well one chapter to the next.
Simon also continues with his amazing character development with his main characters. This book also brings some new dynamic characters, some good guys, but most bad. As I read through these pages it felt like I was reading about real people with real problems and desires etc.
The antagonist in this book is one evil guy, but even so Simon's development makes me actually feel for the guy at times.
I love the way that Simon is able to paint vivid action scenes and dialog for his characters. His outside the box approach to certain combat scenes and weapons are absolutely amazing! The technology used throughout the story line too all serves to mix into a book thats part James bond part old school crime novel and ALL parts awesome!
I can not recommend this book highly enough! It is a damn fine book I would however start with book one before diving into this or the previous sequel however.
There isn't much else I can say besides to say " Go read it now!"
This is the third installment in the Ethan Justice thriller series, and although I liked the other two books a lot, this one satisfies on a higher level. The plot revolves around an English mafia figure named Nelson who is bent on enlarging his territory in southern Spain – drugs, prostitution, murder. Nelson’s idea of fun is getting beaten to a pulp by a prostitute, so you can imagine how he treats underlings who double-cross him, or simply deliver poor performance.
Ethan Justice and his girlfriend, Savannah Jones, work for the secret anti-terrorist organization Earthguard. The action starts immediately with a gas explosion and somebody shooting at their vehicle. Ethan’s sister Rachel happens to be in Madrid to put on her first fashion show, and soon it appears she might be a target of the bad guys.
Although Savannah Jones and Rachel get on famously, Ethan and his sister bristle in each other’s company. The tension between them is interesting, especially when Ethan finds himself feeling responsible for her safety.
The entire story takes place in Malaga, then Madrid and its environs. I loved the car chase scenes and all the technical stuff, using iPads to create local area networks on which a bomb could be detonated – cool stuff like that. But there is plenty of hand-to-hand combat as well, as Savannah has to find a way to survive when facing terrorists and serial rapists. Ethan Justice has many strengths, but marksmanship is not one of them, which makes for some humorous moments.
Alternating between Ethan’s point of view and Nelson’s, the book proceeds at a heart-thumping pace. Although I felt I knew how it would probably turn out, there were surprises at every turn, and twice as many surprises in the last fifty pages, just what I like in a thriller.
Incendiary is a wild and thrilling ride from start to finish, with that rare balance between nerve-wracking action and snarky humor. It’s a quick read, but one of those rare books that sticks in your memory.
